Robin trained at Central Saint Martins.
Previously he trained as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and worked professionally with Theatre Royal Bath, Polka Theatre and the BBC. Whilst acting he began exploring design ideas in theatre and helped establish Lucky Stuff Productions, where he assisted on Lucky Stiff (New Wimbledon Studio), designed the new musical Before The Night Is Through (Millfield Arts Centre) and The Baltimore Waltz (Little Marlborough Theatre).
Other design credits include Deathwatch (The Roundhouse), Lulu (Platform Theatre), Marry Me A Little (Etcetera Theatre), English Pocket Opera's Orpheus & Eurydice (Platform Theatre & The Royal Albert Hall), Dead Royal (Ovalhouse).
Crime - a collaboration with Nico Vaccari - won best play at the FIST Arts Festival in Suceava, Romania, preceding a short tour of venues in Bucharest.
He was associate designer on the UK tour of The Man Jesus with Simon Callow, directed by Joseph Alford.
As costume assistant he has worked on the Heineken Lake Como, Vodafone Frozen, Gordon's Gin Meet Gordon and O2 Wag campaigns - all with Mr. Gammon; The Beat Beneath My Feet (Scoop Productions); and Disney's Aladdin at The Prince Edward Theatre.
He has made costume for the films Tulip Fever, Knights of The Roundtable: King Arthur, Assassin's Creed, Star Wars: Episode VIII and Marvel's Justice League; for theatre Liola, The Light Princess and Amadeus, all at The National Theatre and Harry Potter & The Cursed Child at The Palace Theatre.
Most recently he designed the showcase for Matthew Bourne's New Adventures Choreographer Award 2016: a triple bill of new works from choreographer Jamaal Burkmar.
Early next year he will design Jesus Christ Superstar for Carmarthen Youth Opera.
